Rebranding Museum of Ice Cream

Rebranding the Museum of Ice Cream, located in Manhattan, New York. The original design of the museum embraces pop culture, lacks complexity and connection to the history of ice cream. Inspired by the diversity of different flavors, the new visual identity focuses on the concept of multiplicity and fun.

An engagement idea called “Freeze it” is designed for the audience to participate. “Freeze it” is a special exhibition for alternative ice creams displayed in the museum space “The Fridge.” Alternative ice creams are made by asking each visitor to bring in an object and freeze it into a 10in×10in×10in ice cube. Participants can create their own alternative ice cream by freezing that object in time.
